Noirly AlgoLab
Learn data structures and algorithms by watching them run — step-by-step visualizations, code tracing, and server-graded quizzes.
The problem
Most people learn data structures and algorithms by memorizing solutions, then struggle when a problem looks slightly different.
What I built
AlgoLab teaches through visualization: every lesson runs the algorithm step by step while the matching line of code lights up, and learners can feed in their own input. Lessons are organised into a staged path across Data Structures, Algorithms, and Patterns, and quizzes are graded on the server, so progress reflects real understanding.
Highlights
- Step-by-step visualizers with synced code highlighting
- Custom input for each lesson, validated before it runs
- Staged learning path across Data Structures, Algorithms, and Patterns
- Server-graded quizzes that gate lesson completion
- Progress, streaks, and XP saved per learner
- Single sign-on through Noirly Identity (OpenID Connect)
